In response to concerns expressed regarding pedestrian safety and traffic speed on Main Street/Highway 12, the City of Lacombe's new Community and Economic Development Manager, Guy Lapointe, asked Lacombe Bylaw Enforcement to conduct and provide an intital Traffic Study.

Guy says, "Some have indicated concerns over the speed of traffic downtown.  As an first step I asked our Bylaw Officers to determine if speed was an issue relative to posted limits and if there were any pedestrian infractions that may be occurring. I will certainly stay on the issue and assist in addressing your safety concerns to the best of my ability."
