Milly Oak Cafe
Jonathan has been with the Milly Oak Café since it opened in October 2021, having worked at Cilantro & Chive. He is a part time photographer, and is an advocate for educating people on gender identity pronouns, and promoting inclusivity.
Milly Oak Cafe
Kelsey has been with the Milly Oak Café since February 2022, having worked at Tollers Bistro beforehand. Before this she was a “stay at home Mom” looking after her 2 girls, now 3yrs and almost 5.
Laurie Copland has been with Lacombe Storage for about four years. She met her husband while working in Safeway 34 years ago. She has two sons- an accounts manager and an operations supervisor, and 3 grand kids. She loves working in Lacombe, but feel free to talk to Laurie about her British, especially Scottish, roots.
Cilantro and Chive
Victoria has been with Cilantro and Chive for just over a year. She really knows her beer, as she used to work for Rahr Maltings, so make sure you ask her for a recommendation. when she’s not at the restaurant she’s busy with her two year old son and hopes to complete her schooling at Red Deer Polytechnic in the middle-years education program.
Gina has been working at the A&W for 3 years. You may recognize her as the friendly voice that greets you as you go through the drive-thru in the mornings. When she’s not at A&W she may be at her other job- working in food service at the hospital.
Anna Marie’s Café
Joyce Abma works at Anna Marie’s Café at the LMC for two years and is an “absolute rock star”. Ask her about the Neighbour Life Coffee Bike- bringing coffee to block parties.
Barrie Jane Photopgraphy
Barrie Jane has been a full time professional photographer since 2014. Her passion for photography goes back 25 years ago when she developed pictures in a dark room with chemicals. In addition to capturing your outdoor lifestyle photography, her new studio in Lacombe brings an abundance of light to suit your photography needs. As well as photography you should ask her about her carrot soup.
Absolute Custom and Design
Sean has been in the interior and exterior painting, decoration and staining industry for 24 years, and what he doesn’t know about paint isn’t worth knowing about. Absolute Custom and Design has been around since 2012, working on a whole range of residential and commercial projects.
Val Dawson, owner of Spaw Holistic inc has been caring for animals most of her life. Her interests in grooming came from grooming her own pup “Moo”. She can also speak a language only spoken by 1% of the world’s population; Afrikaans.
Realtor, CIR Realty
Jessica has been a realtor for 7 years. She grew up in Lacombe and has lived here over 25 years. She is a self declared geek on investing, golf and meeting new people. She admires the local shops, history and people of Lacombe and has an 11 year old son who loves playing Hockey for the Lacombe Rockets. Making people laugh is her jam :)
Jeff Pollard has been working at NOWCO Home Hardware for 2 ½ years. He loves his community, and enjoys a good game of slow pitch.
