The Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce is very busy booking exhibitors for the 2014 Lacombe Trade Show, which takes place on April 11 and 12.

Over 60% of available general booths are sold to a wide variety of vendors, and the Marketplace section is sold out. The redesigned layout has allowed for 20% more booths than in 2013.

Efforts have been made to make this year's show more "kid friendly". There will be a variety of entertainment including Kyle Key the Magician, who will be making balloon animals. There will be face painting, free cotton candy for children under 12, the 4H petting zoo and some surprise entertainment that the organizers think the whole family will enjoy.

There will be a social on Friday night after the show, open to all exhibitors and Chamber members and catered by Cilantro & Chive with refreshments by Chateau Wines & Spirits.

As always parking and admission are free, Wi-Fi is provided by Platinum Communications and the concession will be open.

There will be a 50/50 draw at the Chamber's booth with the proceeds going towards our annual scholarship. Donations to the Scholarship Fund are also very welcome.

Don't miss out on the 2014 Lacombe Trade Show! Contact Carmen to book your booth today (403) 352-6695 or lacombetradeshow(at)

From The Executive Director's Desk...

I just wanted to say that since taking the reigns here in December 2013, I have been amazed by just how active and engaged our Chamber Members are. It is really motivating to have so many people participating and giving back to the community. One of the many ways that they have impressed is by the timely submission of Chamber Membership renewals. I don't know what I expected, but I have been struck by the deluge of renewals that come in this time of year. They don't just come in on time, many come in early! I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your support and consideraton. So far, it has been a real pleasure serving the Chamber and it's Members. Thanks, everyone.
